IAU WORLD 100 KILOMETRES CHALLENGE

The International Association of Ultra Runners 100 Kilometres World Challenge (also referred to as World Championships or World Cup) is an annual event first held in 1987. The 1989 event was not officially recognised by the IAU. An official team event was introduced in 1991. Team scores are calculated by aggregating the times of the leading three runners.

IAU WORLD 24 HOURS CHALLENGE

An individual IAU World 24 Hours Track Championships was held in 2001. An IAU World 24 Hours Challenge (with team event) was introduced in 2003 and held in conjunction with the IAU European 24 Hours Challenge.

WMA WORLD MASTERS (VETERANS) 100 KILOMETRES CHAMPIONSHIPS

An IAU World Masters 100 Kilometres Challenge was introduced in 1998 and held annually (in conjunction with the IAU World 100 Kilometres Challenge) from 2000. In 2003 the event was given official WMA (World Masters Athletics) World Championship status, however was subsequently only held every two years. Athletes were categorised into 5 year age bands except for 2001 when 10 year age bands were used. Team medals were only awarded in 1998 and 2003. Only winners of younger age groups are listed below.
